Y6 Crucial Crew

On Friday 20th January, Y6 were lucky enough to go on a second trip; this was to Crucial Crew in Rotherham. Luckily, it was only a 20 minute journey so we didn’t go that far but we were very excited.

When we arrived, we were split into four groups and separated into different activities. After an introductory video, we were taken into the studio.

Although it was freezing, when I first saw the set I was amazed to see how big it was. Some of the activities were: crossing the road safely; first aid with children fire safety in the home and how to stay safe online.

My favourite part of the day was going into court where we had to act out a youth court scene. Mrs Remia selected the roles which we had to act out by reading from a script. My role was being a magistrate and making important decisions about what happened to the offender. In the end, we decided we would send him to prison and he was even locked away in a dark prison cell.

I really enjoyed my time at Crucial Crew – I hope we can g there again!
