Welcome Back

4th September 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the start of the new school year

It is lovely to see all of the children back after the 6 weeks holiday. During the holidays, we have had extensive building work completed throughout school. Nursery and the two year 6 classrooms have been redecorated and look lovely and bright.

We have also had a new fire alarm system installed and new internal and external fire doors fitted. In addition to this, we have had the work started on the roofs of both the KS1 and KS2 building. However, the work on the roofs and fire doors has been delayed and will be continuing during the first half of the autumn term. This is being done with minimum impact on the running of the school.

The work on the fire doors will take place at the end of the school day. The roofing work will continue throughout the school day and children will be restricted to certain parts of the school yard to ensure that we are keeping children safe. This has also meant that we have blocked the access from the KS1 yard to the KS2 yard. Children will be escorted to lunch through the main office, but this does mean that all parents will need to go through the FS2 gate to bring and collect their child from school if they are in KS1 or FS. I apologise for any inconvenience this causes and appreciate your support in the school getting new roofs which are watertight.

If you have any questions, please do come and see me.

Yours sincerely

Mrs H Best

Principal
