What is the sports premium?
The government issues funding to all primary schools to support them to improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. Schools are free to decide how to use this money but it should be spent carefully to ensure sustainability. The school should also prioritise the provision of varied and diverse sporting opportunities for children.
How much did the school receive in 22/23?
The school received £19,280 for 2022/23. This amount is calculated by the number of primary aged pupils (between the ages of 5 and 11) at the annual census in January. All schools with 17 or more primary aged pupils will receive a lump sum of £16,000 plus an additional payment of £10 per pupil.
